■ Hex Nuts Carbon Steel / Brass
The standard six-sided nut for general assembly, matched to a standard bolt for a secure, non-locking connection.
■ Hex Thin Nuts Carbon Steel
A reduced-height version of the standard hex nut, used where clearance is limited or as a jam nut to lock a primary nut in place.
For structural connections where load capacity and bearing surface matter more than a standard profile can provide.
■ Hex Heavy Nuts Carbon Steel
A thicker profile than a standard hex nut, giving greater thread engagement and load capacity for heavy structural connections.
■ Hex Flange Nuts Carbon Steel / Brass
A built-in flange spreads the load over a wider bearing surface, which can remove the need for a separate washer in many assemblies.
For connections exposed to continuous vibration, where a standard nut can work loose over time. Each type locks by a different mechanism.
■ Nylon Lock Nuts Carbon Steel / Brass
A nylon insert creates friction against the bolt threads, resisting loosening under vibration without damaging the threads.
■ Metal Lock Nuts Carbon Steel
An all-metal locking mechanism gives the same vibration resistance as a nylon lock nut, but withstands higher temperatures where a nylon insert would fail.
■ Slotted Nuts Carbon Steel
Secured with a cotter pin through slots in the nut and a hole in the bolt, giving a positive mechanical lock where friction-based locking isn't reliable enough.
For applications with a specific mechanical or appearance requirement that a standard hex nut doesn't address.
■ Square Nuts Carbon Steel
A larger bearing surface and flat sides resist rotation, useful where torque needs to be applied without a matching wrench flat, or where the nut must sit flush against a surface.
