Industry Solutions: Fastener Series by Application

Our fastener series are organized by application, so you can match your project to a series engineered for its specific demands. For material grades, standards, and customization details, see our Product Center — this page focuses on how each series is built for the conditions it serves.

General Fastener Series

Built for general industrial assembly, this series prioritizes broad specification coverage and fast availability over deep customization — the right fit when your project needs reliable standard fasteners without the lead time of a custom order.  General Fasteners

Automotive Parts Series

Automotive assembly runs at high volume and high frequency, on production lines where a single inconsistent batch can stall the line. Parts also need to hold under continuous vibration over the vehicle's service life — which is why this series centers on lock nut designs and specialty nut types rather than standard hex nuts alone.  Automotive Fasteners

■ Nylon Lock Nuts — a nylon insert creates friction against the bolt threads, resisting loosening under vibration without damaging the threads.

■ Metal Lock Nuts — an all-metal locking mechanism for the same vibration resistance in higher-temperature environments where nylon inserts aren't suitable.

■ Slotted Nuts — designed to be secured with a cotter pin through the bolt, giving a positive mechanical lock where vibration resistance alone isn't enough.

■ Square Nuts — a larger bearing surface and flat sides that resist rotation, useful where torque needs to be applied without a matching wrench flat, or where the nut needs to sit flush against a surface.

Special Parts for Railway Power

Fasteners used in railway power infrastructure carry structural and safety-critical loads, often in outdoor environments with long service intervals between inspections. This series is built around heavy-duty hex components suited to that kind of load-bearing, long-term application.  Railway Fasteners

■ Hex Heavy Nuts — a thicker profile than standard hex nuts, giving greater thread engagement and load capacity for heavy structural connections.

■ Hex Heavy Head Bolts — a larger head bearing surface for higher torque application and load distribution, matched to the heavy nut profile.

Which Series Fits Your Project
